FAQ

Got questions? We have answers!

Are you available for more questions after a project?

Yes. Please always feel free to email me with any questions you may have about your project. However, questions should pertain to a recent phone call or edit done within the past three months, and they should be focused specifically on clarification and understanding of a topic we've already covered. Additional edits and broader feedback require a new contract. Phone calls are subject to the hourly consultation rate and availability.

What does your editing process look like?

I conduct edits over three rounds [or three passes as some editors might say]. In other words, I review the entirety of your work three separate times to guarantee nothing is missed. Depending on the contracted service, I may use Trackchanges in Word to complete edits or leave comments and suggestions. At the very end, I'll combine my notes to write an analysis letter, covering the topics included in the service. These letters will typically provide helpful resource materials and guides as well.

How will I receive the final product?

All project materials are sent in Word [.doc or .docx] format to the client via email after the final payment is received. To view any Trackchanges in the document, go to the 'Review' tab in Word and make sure 'All Markup' is selected under Trackchanges [I provide a guide for this in the same email]. All analysis letters are sent as a PDF. To schedule a phone call consultation, please send us an email with your typical weekly availability and time zone [ex. PST or EST].

I need more time! Can I reschedule our start date?

Yes; however, I require 72 hour notice before your scheduled start date. An updated contract must be signed detailing the new start date [subject to availability]. Late fees apply for any notice received less than 72 hours in advance. The daily late fee is $400. Any late fees accrued must be paid before you can receive the final product.

Why does my free phone call offer expire after two months?

Free package phone calls expire two months after the project completion date for two reasons. One: I can only remember all the details of a project for so long. And  two: it's better to discuss any questions or topics revolving around your project edits when the memory is still fresh. Appointment slots are subject to availability and must be booked in advance, so please keep this in mind as you near your project completion date.

I have additional questions that aren't listed here . . .

Please feel free to give me a call or send me an email. Also, check out our blogs for more editing tips and recommendations!
